Web Bengal PSC vacancies for Reporter, Assistant Translator (Bengali)

PSCWB invited applications in the prescribed format from Indian citizens or such other nationalities as are declared eligible by the Govt. of India for the undermentioned posts

Posts in W.B. Legislative Assembly Secretariat:

1. English Reporter, No of Posts : 02 (SC-1, ST-1)
   Pay Scale : (PB-4) Rs.9000-40,500 with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
   Qualification : (i) A Bachelor's Degree with English as one of the combination subjects in the degree course from a recognized University (ii) Speed in English Shorthand and Typing --- 140 and 40 words per minute respectively (iii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for recruitment in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the District of Darjeeling).
2. Bengali Reporter, No of Posts : 03 (SC-1, ST-1)
   Pay Scale : (PB-4) Rs.9000-40,500 with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
   Qualification : (i) A Bachelor's Degree with Bengali as one of the combination subjects in the degree course from a recognized University. (ii) Speed in Bengali Shorthand and Typing --- 120 and 30 words per minute respectively
3. Junior Bengali Reporter, No of Posts : 06 (SC-3)
   Pay Scale : (PB-3) Rs.7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs.3600/-
   Qualification : (i) A Bachelor's Degree with Bengali as one of the combination subjects in the degree course from a recognized University. (ii) Speed in Bengali Shorthand and Typing --- 80 and 30 words per minute respectively.

Vacancy under Home (Political) Deptt., W.B.:

1. Lower Grade Assistant Translator (Bengali), No of Posts : 03 (SC-1)
   Scale of Pay : (PB-3) Rs.7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs.3600/-
   Qualification : (a) Honours or Post Graduate Degree in Bengali or Honours or Post Graduate Degree in English or Sanskrit with Bengali as a subject at Bachelor Degree level from a recognized University.(b) Sufficient command over English and Bengali. (c) Ability of a high order to make reliable ranslation from English into Bengali and vice versa.
